Teachers love our professional learning!
You don’t have to be a software developer to teach computer science! This year long Professional Learning Program is designed to support you throughout the academic year as you teach, engage, and empower your students to explore computer science.
The Code.org professional learning program is a year-long, highly supportive program designed to prepare educators to provide high quality computer science instruction.
What are my professional learning options?
While your Regional Partner is hard at work locking down the details of local workshops for this program, you can still apply and the Regional Partner will inform you when the workshop details are available.
Additionally, you can check-out the Code.org National Cohorts. These virtual workshops are delivered by other Code.org Regional Partners and are open to teachers nationwide.
The Computer Science Discoveries program (6th-10th grade) includes:
- A multi-day summer workshop, which will fully prepare educators to utilize Code.org curricula and teacher support systems.
- Quarterly or monthly virtual meetings during the school year when teachers will reconvene for ongoing training and just-in-time support.
- Additional opportunities for online and face-to-face networking and collaboration with peers throughout the year.
The Computer Science and AI Foundations program (9th-12th grade) includes:
- A multi-day summer workshop summer workshop, which will fully prepare educators to utilize Code.org curricula and teacher support systems.
- Quarterly or monthly virtual meetings during the school year when teachers will reconvene for ongoing training and just-in-time support.
- Additional opportunities for online and face-to-face networking and collaboration with peers throughout the year.
The Computer Science Principles program (9th-12th grade) includes:
- A multi-day summer workshop summer workshop, which will fully prepare educators to utilize Code.org curricula and teacher support systems.
- Quarterly or monthly virtual meetings during the school year when teachers will reconvene for ongoing training and just-in-time support.
- Additional opportunities for online and face-to-face networking and collaboration with peers throughout the year.
The Computer Science A program (10th-12th grade) includes:
While we are not hosting a local CSA program, there are several national cohorts being supported by Code.org’s Regional Partners. While programs vary slightly, there are options including:
- A virtual summer workshop.
- A year-long, facilitated program to support implementation of AP CSA
- Scholarships are available for qualified applicants.

How much will it cost?
CS Discoveries, CS Principles, CS and AI Foundations and CSA workshops are offered at no cost to most teachers accepted into the program. Apply now!
What does the application process entail?
Applying is easy and only takes about 10 minutes! Once your application is complete, you can expect to hear from your regional parnter with your acceptance decision within 2-3 weeks. If you are accepted into the Professional Learning program, you are encouraged to register within two weeks to secure your spot.
Is Code.org free?
The curriculum, online student learning platform, and access to support from the teacher and Code.org community are available to all schools year-round, free of charge.
